12. Lana Del Ray

Known for her cinematic quality music that explores trauma, romance, glamour, and melancholia, Lana Del Ray is a singer-songwriter giant. She’s most famous for her hits “West Coast”, “Doin’ Time”, and “Say Yes to Heaven.”

The pop star was seen in 2020 wearing a mask during COVID-19 while perusing Costco. Reddit user even snagged a photo of her Instagram story at Costco, saying that she loved the experience and found it to be a happy place. 

11. Bethenny Frankel

Television personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and author is best known for her role in the Bravo television series The Real Housewives of New York City, starring in 8 of the 14 seasons. She even had a spin-off series called Bethenny Ever After which only aired for three seasons.

The TV personality hasn’t hidden her love for Costco, telling Bravo that Costco is pretty much her religion in a 2010 article. She loves the random finds, from the king crab legs to the blueberries. 

10. Ryan Seacrest 

The television presenter and producer, Ryan Seacrest, is one of the many celebrities who shop at Costco. He’s hosted several shows like American Idol, and American Top 40, and is becoming the host of Wheel of Fortune in September 2024. With such an extensive career, he’s one of the most well-known faces in the media, but shops at the bulk store like the rest of us.

His love for the store was revealed during Justin Bieber’s 18th birthday when he gifted the new pop star a Costco membership card, convincing Bieber that he’d have “endless fun” by buying “jugs of salsa and buckets of hummus.” 

9. Kris Kardashian

The Kardashians are always the talk of the town. Their journey began in 2007 with Keeping Up with the Kardashians and has since become just The Kardashians in 2020 with a brand new show. Their lives surround the latest gossip, and in 2019, Kris Kardashian, the matriarch, was the star of gossip when she admitted to her Costco obsession.

While the family is known for living in luxury at all times, Kris apparently mentioned that her favorite store is Costco because she loves preparing for any outcome, and says that she often uses the wholesaler to stock up on her home “bunker”

8. Jenner-Kardashian Sisters

If Kris Kardashian wasn’t surprising, then get a load of her daughters, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. While they might not be as obsessed with Costco as their mother, the sisters were spotted in 2014 wearing matching outfits to shop the warehouse.

Kris and Bruce Jenner were also spotted helping them load the car up with great bulk items like paper towels. 

7. Mitt Romney

Some celebrities who shop at Costco are political figures, like Mitt Romney. The Republican nominee during the 2012 presidential election was seen shopping the aisles of the wholesaler. A photographer captured Romney with his wife, Ann, loading up on Costco essentials like Christmas wrapping paper, Kirkland paper towels, V8 drinks, and bottled water in the La Jolla, California store near their home.

Apparently, Costco is a favorite store amongst the Romeny’s, with Ann talking about her order with Rachel Ray’s TV show. Romney also doesn’t hide his love for the Kirkland shirts, buying 3-packs of the name brand from Costco, as seen in an interview with Fox News in 2012.

6. Barack Obama 

The former president of the United States, Barack Obama, isn’t often a shopper at the big-box store; he actually loves Costco for another reason. The former president shared his pride after finding out that Costco employees get paid around $20 an hour with health benefits and even have the opportunity to join unions.

Compared to Walmart, which paid barely $13 an hour, Obama loved how the wholesaler ran their business. So, of course, when he visited stores during his Presidential term, he grabbed a few things on his way out.

5. John Mayer

John Mayer is one of the many celebrities who shop at Costco and doesn’t hide his love for the retailer. The singer-songwriter has been making music since the late 1990s, and has several amazing songs like “Your Body is a Wonderland”, and “Waiting on the World to Change.”

When he’s not jamming out, you might see him going “nuts” at Costco, as he stated in a 2014 tweet. In 2016, he surprised many by making a sneaker promo for Kirkland Signature sneakers. On his Instagram, he posted about his purchase of some #KirkBoys, showing off his new shoes. 

4. Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish became the youngest person ever to win a Grammy for album of the year in 2020. She’s known for her amazing hits like “Lunch“ and “Lovely“ as well as her first hit “Ocean Eyes” in 2015. 

What fans might not know about the artist is that she’s an avid Costco fan. Back in 2021, Billie Eilish gave fans an amazing cookie recipe that fit her vegan diet using Costco’s Kirkland Signature organic peanut butter. 

3. Jimmy Kimmel

When you’re a television host and comedian, you’re going to end up talking about the hot trends. Costco has been a hit with shoppers for years now, so of course, Kimmel had to bring it up on TV.

During a 2017 Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode, he talked about how much he loves bulk buying and wants to spread awareness of Costco etiquette. As a result, it’s safe to say that he’s one of the many celebrities who shop at Costco. He even shared he’s an Executive Member at the warehouse. 

2. Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg is one of the many celebrities who shop at Costco even though he has more money than anyone could possibly spend. The Facebook founder and CEO was spotted in the TV aisle in the Mountain View, California store in 2020 when his net worth was around $108 billion.

Instead of sending out someone to do his shopping for him, Zuckerberg strolled the aisles with his wife Priscilla Chan to enjoy the Costco in-store experience.

1. Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey is known for her own show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, that aired from 1989 to 2011. Recognizable for her entertaining, enlightening, and uplifting demeanor, she captivated millions of viewers for nearly 25 years. Oprah’s love for Costco began when she tried their trendy products to offer helpful advice to her audience.

During a 2003 show, she tried Costco for the first time and praised the store for having everything from watches to jewelry. Plus, she got to fan girl over her Oprah’s Book Club selections in-store.
