Halloween season means it’s time for spooky snacks, and Utz just rolled out a seasonal treat that’s hard to miss on the shelf.
The Utz Bats & Jacks Halloween Pretzels come packed with individually wrapped .5 oz treat bags, each featuring pretzels shaped like bats and jack-o-lanterns. The bags themselves are decked out in Halloween-themed graphics, including a haunted house design and a grinning jack-o-lantern face, making them a fun option for handing out to trick-or-treaters or tossing into a lunchbox.
Utz notes on the box that the packaging is now cardboard with an 80% reduction in plastic compared to their old Halloween barrel, which is a nice touch if you’re trying to cut down on waste this time of year. With 70 individually sealed bags in the box, this should make portioning out treats pretty easy without needing to bag up loose pretzels yourself.
The individually wrapped format makes this a convenient grab for parties, classroom treats, or Halloween goodie bags where you want something a little different from candy. The seasonal shapes and packaging should add some fun to snack time for kids and adults who enjoy the classic Utz pretzel taste in a festive twist.
If you’re stocking up for Halloween festivities, the Utz Bats & Jacks Halloween Pretzels look like a solid pick for a fun, shareable snack that leans into the season without straying from the pretzel snack you already know.

I am so disappointed that you changed from plastic barrel to box.
I can honestly say I probably still have the 1st barrel I bought from you.
I REUSE them for rice flour oatmeal dog food and treats.
Please consider returning to barrels.
They are very reusable for so may things
Hey Donna, those barrels were great for reusing! Just to clarify, we’re not affiliated with Utz or Costco, so we don’t have a say in their packaging choices. Might be worth sending that feedback directly to Utz since they’re the ones who made the switch.
