Costco members have a much easier way to get their grocery hauls home. The retailer has expanded its partnership with Uber Eats to 47 U.S. states, up from 17, with nearly 600 Costco locations now available through the delivery platform.
According to Uber and Costco, members can use Uber Eats to shop for a wide selection of Costco merchandise and have their orders delivered on demand or at a scheduled time. That includes groceries, fresh foods, household essentials, and other popular warehouse items.
This is the perfect addition for those who don’t want to push a heavy cart throughout the store, or are short on time. You can still get all the essentials to your home, no warehouse trip needed.
Fresh produce and bulk groceries are among the products available through the expanded service, along with household necessities and other Costco merchandise. The exact selection depends on the participating warehouse and the customer’s location.
That local difference is worth remembering. Just because Costco delivery is now available across 47 states doesn’t mean every item at every warehouse will appear in the Uber Eats app. Shoppers will need to enter their location and check which Costco products and delivery options are available nearby.
The expansion also gives Costco members another option when they need something quickly. A scheduled order could work for regular grocery restocking, while on-demand delivery may be useful for last-minute needs or a weekend party.
The Costco-Uber relationship started on a much smaller scale.
In July 2021, the two companies launched a pilot at 25 Costco warehouses in Texas, serving customers in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. Seven additional warehouses were expected to join the program soon afterward.
At the time, the pilot was important because Costco represented Uber’s first U.S. test with a food wholesaler. Customers could place orders through Uber or Uber Eats, with the service designed to provide delivery within hours or, in some cases, minutes.
The early experiment clearly worked. What began with a limited group of Texas warehouses has now reached nearly 600 Costco locations across 47 states.

Costco members looking to use the service can search for their local warehouse through the Uber Eats app. Delivery can be ordered on demand or scheduled, although availability and product selection vary by location.
For longtime Costco shoppers, the biggest draw may simply be convenience. Buying in bulk is useful, but hauling oversized packages from the warehouse isn’t always easy. Having another delivery option could make those larger shopping trips a little less complicated, especially for those who cannot handle large or heavy packages.
And for families stocking up on groceries, household supplies or ingredients for a big meal, that convenience could come in handy. Costco shopping trips just got a lot easier for millions of members.
