Danby Window Air Conditioner

Hazard:

Midea America Corp. is recalling Danby brand U-Shaped Window Air Conditioners due to potential mold growth risk. Pooled water in the air conditioners can fail to drain quickly enough, which can lead to mold growth. Mold exposure poses risks of respiratory issues or other infections to some consumers.

This recall affects the Danby 8,000 BTU U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner (Model Number: DAC080B6IWDB-6).

Remedy:

If you have this air conditioner, stop using it immediately. Two remedy options are available:

1. Contact Midea to receive either:
   • A free repair kit (includes new drain plug and bubble level)
   • A full or prorated refund (based on purchase date or date of manufacture)
2. Return the unit to any Costco warehouse for a full refund
