Costco Thanksgiving Meal Kit Contents

Costco’s Large Gourmet meal kit comes with everything you need to serve up to eight people a traditional Thanksgiving feast.

The kit includes:

  • 5-pound turkey breast
  • 3 pounds of mashed potatoes
  • 3 pounds of mac and cheese
  • 3 pounds stuffing
  • 3 pounds of sweet corn
  • 3 pounds of green bean casserole
  • 20-ounce jar cranberry relish
  • 24 ounces of turkey gravy
  • 12 dinner rolls
  • 2-pound apple cobbler
  • 2-pound pumpkin pie

All the items are delivered frozen and just need to be reheated before serving.

Costco Smaller Value Thanksgiving Kit

For a smaller gathering of around 3-4 people, consider buying the Value Kit from Costco, which costs around $40 and still includes most of your Thanksgiving food staples.

  • Pre-cooked turkey breast
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Green beans
  • Stuffing
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Turkey gravy

Unlike the larger meal kit, you can find the Value Kit in the prepared foods section at most Costco warehouses during the Thanksgiving season. It’s perfect for those with smaller gatherings, and is available while supplies last.

Place Your Order Soon

Costco recommends that you place your order between September 25th and November 14th to ensure timely delivery between November 12th and November 20th. Preferred delivery dates are subject to availability, and while supplies last. This will give you enough time to thaw the items properly. Remember: Thanksgiving Day is November 27th this year.

The Big Question

Is Costco’s meal kit worth the $269.99 price tag? That depends on how much you value convenience over cost. Cooking a Thanksgiving meal from scratch can be expensive, but not as expensive as Costco’s offer. A Thanksgiving dinner for 10 could cost you, on average, from $65 to $100 (or much more), depending on where you live and how extravagant the spread is. That’s still much cheaper than $269.99. So, if you’re on a budget, you might want to look for other ways to save money on your Thanksgiving meal.

Of course, Costco has great prices on all the ingredients you need to make the dinner from scratch on your own – if you have the time and inclination.

However, if you have the cash and don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen this year, Costco’s meal kit might be a good choice. You don’t have to go shopping or deal with crowded stores. You can just stay home and heat up the food to serve your family, making for a stress-free way to enjoy your Thanksgiving if you’re not into cooking.
