There’s a flammability caution on the label about using fabric softeners with certain fabrics. I *assume* this means it’s both a fabric softener AND deodorizer. Terrible labeling — and likely why it’s been discontinued and now half price.
( North Plainfield NJ ) It’s a dye free seemingly all natural fabric softener. But since its almost twice the price as the original, it isn’t getting allot of sales. Smells great and I personally love it. I’m stocking up while I can at these insane prices.
This item doesn’t work. We use it on dog beds, blankets my kids drag everywhere, and my fiancé’s smelly socks. It dies not work I felt like it actually made the smell worse, it literally intensified it. I won’t be buying this anymore. Buyers: definitely try something else. Bought from Ann Arbor, MI Costco for 4.97 each.
This does not work. I wrote to Procter & Gamble and am awaiting response. I think they stopped selling this, as I don’t see it on the Downy webpage as a product. I just bought two large bottle of this! Save your money and instead buy Clorox’s expense (but it works) no-bleach “sanitizer.”
I just found this item at my local big lots. It has a chemically scent when you smell it out of the bottle directly but once you wash your clothes and something magical happens because the scent does change and smells much better.
It did leave my clothes scented and smelling fresh, we have good water where I am so maybe the chemistry of the water didn’t work for other people. I like it for bedding and sheets, however I’m still not sure if I’m supposed to use it as a softener or with the detergent as some sites say. It has the consistency of a softener and the bottle had no instructions.
This product worked well on my son stink locker clothing. I am trying to get some.i do hope Costco in my area put this back in there inventory (garden city).the only thing wrong is the labelling with directions.ITWORKS
The labeling IS confusing. HOWEVER, I used it with my laundry detergent and it worked GREAT! I could not get rid of the dog smell on our dogs beds no matter how many times I ran them thru the wash, even on high heat or even trying to overpower the horrid smell with fabric softener before I found this GREAT product!! I am hoping this will help our house stop smelling like a kennel. THANK YOU DOWNY
Just called the 800# customer service and they said it goes in the Fabric softener compartment in your washing machine. I was a little lost as well.
