New Product Speaqua Barnacle X Bluetooth Speaker

The scoop

If you spend your weekends near water, on the trail, or anywhere your phone might get splashed, the Speaqua Barnacle X Bluetooth Speaker caught our attention on a recent Costco run.

This compact speaker is built to handle the elements with an IP68 waterproof rating and the ability to float, so dropping it in the pool or lake isn’t a disaster. It also packs 8GB of internal storage for offline music, meaning you don’t even need your phone nearby to keep the tunes going.

What really stands out is the versatility. The 4-in-1 mounting system means it can clip onto gear, lock into action camera mounts, thread onto standard 1/4-20 mounts, or stick to smooth surfaces, so it should be easy to bring along on a bike, kayak, or golf cart.

For anyone who’s tired of babying their speaker around water or dust, this one looks like it’s designed to shrug off exactly those worries. The offline storage is a nice bonus for days when you want to leave your phone behind entirely.

Bottom Line: The Speaqua Barnacle X looks like a solid pick for anyone who wants a tough, feature-packed Bluetooth speaker built for outdoor and water adventures.
