The Quaker Oats Company is recalling the cereal listed above because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
If you have any of the recalled product in your possession, do not eat it; please return the item to Costco for a full refund.

We purchased Oatmeal Squares on 12/28/23 at your Milford store for 8.59. We recently heard about the recall but not having heard from your company, we continued to eat it. I just googled and found that Costco is also recalling this product – I certainly wish you had contacted your customers who purchased it as you have done in the past.
