Costco Tire Center

Costco Tire Sale, tire center wheels

The Costco Tire Center is just one of the many perks that members receive when they shop at Costco. From medical care to gas discounts, there are so many ways to save besides bulk shopping. The Tire Center provides all tire care at affordable rates.

In fact, you can purchase a set of tires with free installation! That’s right. There’s no extra charge to have your tires installed after purchasing from the Costco Tire Center. Along with that, Costco provides exceptional post-installation care to make sure you’re always safe and prepared.

Does Every Costco Sell Tires?

The Tire Center is a great Costco perk, but is only available at select stores. If you’re interested in finding out if your location provides a Tire Center, then visit the Costco Tires page and type in your local store’s zipcode to confirm.

Do You Have to Be a Member to Use Costco’s Tire Center?

A Costco membership (of any level) is required when using the Tire Center for purchases or maintenance. You can not purchase tires at Costco if you’re not a member.

If you have an Executive Membership, you have access to additional perks like the Auto Program and discounted auto insurance. Although separate from the Tire Center, Costco’s Auto Program can help you buy a new or used car as well as save money on regular auto maintenance. Receive a 15% discount on parts, services, and accessories when you join (up to $500 off per visit depending on the maintenance required).

Tire Center Services

Costco Tire Center

The Costco Tire Center is available for customers between the hours of 10 am to 8:30 pm at most locations. Costco encourages you to make appointments online to ensure a speedy and prompt service.

Costco’s Tire Center makes sure to provide customers with the best experience possible, however, they do have restrictions on the services they provide. For example, they do not install tires for golf carts or ATVs, and will not install UTV tires, or low-pressure tires, that will be used in street applications.

All tires must meet the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment specifications. For all information on what services they provide and their policies, make sure to read through their FAQ section here

Ordering Tires Online

Tread getting a bit low? Order your tires online at Costco’s Tire Center. Finding and ordering them is super easy and only takes a few minutes. Enter your vehicle information here, like make and model, and verify the size of your tires. Then, pick from the list of brands and styles that you want.

Your tires will take around 5 to 10 business days to be delivered to the Costco warehouse of your choosing. Once they’re delivered, you’ll be notified. From there, you will have about 14 days to schedule your appointment for installation.

Low Prices

Costco is all about affordable prices, and the Tire Center is no exception. The tires at Costco are generally cheaper than buying them from any other major retailer. Several promotions and coupons are available to help reduce the prices even further. To learn about the latest Costco tire sale, check here for the most up-to-date information.

To help compare tire prices, I checked the price for my 2017 Chevy Equinox. The price for four 225/65R17 Michelin Primacy All Season tires at Walmart is around $820, but only $796 at Costco. Of course, these price variations depend on what tire size and type you’re looking at.

Free Installation

You read that right! When you purchase tires from the Costco Tire Center, you can get them installed at the center for no extra charge. This is only available when you purchase tires with Costco. If you bring in your own tires for installation, expect a service charge.

Wide Variety of Tires

Don’t stress about straying away from your most reliable brand or style either. Along with the affordable prices of tires, Costco also has a wide variety of brands and types, from specific seasonal tires to all-weather and season, along with various brands from Bridgestone to Michelin. Check out the best tire options for you here.

Easy Online Appointments

This wholesaler also knows that life is chaotic, and sometimes scheduling appointments can be stressful. That’s why they encourage you to schedule appointments online. Not only does this help you prepare and make time for the service, but ensures when you get to the shop, you don’t have to wait for your turn.

To make an appointment, access their Tire Center scheduler here. Pick the best time, or maybe a time when you’re already going to be grocery shopping. Installing four tires can take anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours, so if you’re shopping while having the car serviced, please expect the longest wait time to give the workers plenty of time.

Lifetime Tire Maintenance

One of the best perks of Costco’s Tire Center care is its Lifetime Tire Maintenance Service. Not only is it affordable to change or swap your tires, but you also have the added benefits that generally last the tire’s entire lifespan.

This perk includes services like tire balancing, tire rotations, pressure checks, and flat tire repairs. This is a huge safety net and can help you remain stress-free about unexpected tire maintenance down the road.

Uses Nitrogen

Do you avoid filling up your tires as much as possible? Then you’ll love this perk. Costco fills your tires with nitrogen instead of air, which makes a huge difference in the lifespan of your tires and the care required. And when you’re getting low, no need to make an appointment, just stop at Costco’s free self-service Nitrogen tire filling station.

Nitrogen-filled tires usually retain their pressure better over time, which helps the tires last longer, and you get better gas mileage out of them. This is perfect for those who hate filling their tires several times with each temperature change.

Road Hazard Warranty

Road Hazard Warranty is the last, but certainly not least, Costco Tire Center perk. This warranty gives you coverage for five years against tire failure and tread wear damage, so if for some reason your tires need to be replaced sooner than normal, you can go back for a free swap.

This is only eligible for those who receive damage during legal vehicle operations and who care for their tires properly. For more detailed information on this warranty, check here
