Authentic Trappist beer.
White Chimay: The Chimay Cinq Cents, with its golden hue, offers a rare balance of mellowness and bitterness. It is a subtle combination of fresh hops and yeast. The Chimay Triple was launched on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Principality of Chimay in 1966. That’s why it is also known as “Cinq cents”.
Gold Chimay: Brewed in the heart of Scourmont Abbey, the Chimay Dorée, pure malt beer, has long been reserved for the monastic community, its guests and its collaborators. It is revealed to you with its refreshing aromas of hops and spices.
Blue Chimay: A dark beer with a powerful aroma, whose complex flavor improves over the years. Its powerful and complex aromas make you feel a bouquet of fine spices. On the palate, it leaves a relatively dry taste with a hint of caramel. Blue Chimay has an amazing ability to keep. That’s why it’s also called “Grande Réserve”.
Red Chimay: Its coppery color and its fruity and sweet taste make this brown beer particularly tasty. Its aromas are light and complex. To taste, it is a silky beer with a slight touch of bitterness. The Chimay Rouge is the oldest of the Chimay beers, hence its name “Premiere”.
The Chimay is an authentic Trappist beer: it means that it is brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the control and responsibility of the monastic community, which is involved in the entire process of beer exploitation. Most of the income generated by this activity is devoted to the needs of the community and to social works.
