Costco TP Tracker v2.0
This is our new and improved TP Tracker – based on tons of user feedback.
We have over 10,000 total submissions so far on the trackers! Keep ’em coming people!
If you want, check out the old tracker with 8,472 submissions.
Due to hoarders and panic-buying, Costco is running out of stock daily on certain necessities, such as toilet paper (TP). Below is the current status of seven important products as reported by you (we are not affiliated with Costco corporate), our faithful and diligent visitors. This data is updated every 5 minutes.
The next time you’re at Costco, please help by sharing the status at your store. Use this button: Report Product Availability
The seven products we currently track are:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Water
- Rice
- Diapers (this is new)
- Disinfecting wipes
- Lysol
You can search for your store by city by using the Search box at the top right of the table below. Sort any column by clicking on the column header. If you don’t see your store listed, it doesn’t mean there is no stock, it just means someone hasn’t reported on that location yet.
TP = toilet paper; PT = paper towels; W = water; R = rice; D = diapers; DW = disinfecting wipes; L = lysol
NOTE: We’ve retired the TP Tracker and removed the results. After 5 years, it was time. We hope we never have to live through that again!
.
.
Note: This information changes rapidly and something reported as “in stock” one hour may be out of stock within a few hours. Please take that into account when making the decision to travel to the store. This information is supplied by visitors to our site, not by Costco corporate. We cannot vouch for the accuracy of the data.

With no search criteria it only shows infor for 13 entries. Entering my state shows no info at all
Hi, thanks for your feedback. It will take a while to collect info about more stores. If you can’t find anything for your state or city yet it just means no one has reported on it yet. It would be great if you could report back to us the next time you visit. Thanks!
Worthless app, search does not work
Hi there – thanks for checking out our TP Tracker. The search feature appears to be working OK. What issue did you have?
Please show date and time of the update.
Hi, On the new tracker how do we know what day it is in since there’s only a time in place now instead of an actual date? Especially when you search your city
Thanks for all your hardwork! Would it be possible to rollback to version 1 until the bugs are fixed in version 2? In the past 3 hours, I find it difficult to believe that the number of entries hasn’t changed. The tracker has listed only 50 entries since 9am and it’s currently 12:25pm.
Nevermind, it looks like the list updated to 96. Thanks.
Glad it’s working for you now!
-The filter in the first column is not working for the most recent updates. (To bring the latest updates to the top.) V1 worked just fine.
-Needs date in the timestamp.
Thanks for creating this!
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, this datatable tool I’m using to show the results can’t distinguish between AM and PM so the sorting is wonky. Need to add the date somehow and try to make it all fit still. It’s a work in progress.
Costco Fischer Crossing in Peachtree GA had lots of water (100+ pallets) and 15-20 pallets of Paper towels Nothing rose from your list this is as of 2 dats ago though
How do you get updates ?
If column space is an issue, can’t you narrow the time to exclude seconds (a 24 hour clock would be better too but many are confused by that), change the yes/no columns to Y, N or ? .
Also, I agree with others that a date column is absolutely needed and helpful.
Thanks for putting in the time and effort in providing this useful tool. Hoarders and fear/panic buyers be damned!
Good point – I think I can strip the seconds from the time. I’ll try that next. I had originally just used “Y” and “N” but it didn’t affect column width when I changed to “Yes” and “No”; I think it’s already at the minimum column width for those columns.
I’ve added the date now!
Hi! Not all warehouses are shown in CA. Any way to get the inventory for Santa Cruz, CA to showup?
This is crowd sourced, folks like us who visit the Costco locations for our regular shopping, come back and post here, that is how the list gets updated. If a City or Warehouse is not listed or not recently updated then no one has updated that information.
Well said! Thank you very much.
What if my local store (Van Nuys, CA) isn’t listed?
It just means no one has reported about your store yet. Maybe you could be the first the next time you go? 🙂
Tracker is down?
Only seeing one update foe 4/1?
Strange, it just updated for me after I submitted this comment.
-I see two reports dated tomorrow (4/2).
This is not going to be accurate if someone looks at that report tomorrow.
Is there a way to auto-populate the time stamp when it’s submitted, or not allow a date/time in the future?
Yes, I could auto-populate a time-stamp. This is how v1 of the tracker actually worked. But we were getting complaints – rightly so – that the submission time could be way different than the time they were actually at the store and witnessed the products in stock. So we changed to a self-reported time… which is now causing this issue. I’ll see if there is some sort of date validation that can be applied so as not to allow a future date/time. For now, I have manually edited the two 4/2 dates to 4/1.
You some how left off Fremont (California) when you moved to 2.0
Dee Pee-That’s not how this works.
Fremont was not “left off the list”.
Read MA BH’s message above…
This is crowd sourced entries. Fremont will be on the list when someone submits a report for it.
Costco97-
I also saw a couple entries with today’s date but a couple hours into the future…
For example, I saw three entries over an hour ago- 4/1 15:00, 4/1 15:00, and 4/1 15:30
Currently it’s 14:50, so these reviews could be questionable.
Just pointing out what I see could be potential issues.
Thanks for all the effort & hard work on this.
Actually, I thought the same thing when I saw those… but then I remembered since these are now self-reported times, they would (most likely) be in the time zone of the submitter.
I really appreciate the feedback! Thank you!
Costco97-
Ah, that could be the case!
I thought I recall that V1 was in PST timestamp for everything, and assumed that also applies to this V2 tracker as well so I flagged it as a potential issue.
Thanks again for your efforts!
No updates since this 9:33am this morning? Wondering if something is broken …
Hi it’s updating. Perhaps it’s a caching issue. I’ve set the page not to cache anymore. Can you check it now?
I see what R2E is saying about appearing like there’s no updates since 9:33…
The first column filter has an issue.
Sort the first column by newest and then expand to 100 entries…
You will see the top 11 entries are time stamps from 9:33 down to 7:12.
Then from entry #12 down, it (currently) jumps to 15:00 and is filtering down correctly again for the current date (4/2).
– I believe the issue here is the filter is not recognizing the additional second digit in the “hours” counter when the clock goes from 9:59 to 10:00.
Thanks for flagging that, Joe. I get the issue now. It’s a sorting failure because the date/time is being sorted like a text string. So x:xx time always sorts before xx:xx time. And then the descending sort is applied. I’ve dumped the table and fixed the sort locally.
Exactly what the issue is. The DataTables library being used sorts the data in that column as a string rather than a date/time. I’m implementing this DataTables tool via a plugin. Supposedly there is an add-on for DataTables to treat a column as a true date/time and solve the sorting issue. But I have no idea how to implement that.
I can take a look on the sort if you need help, do you have a sand box, or vmware image of V2 tracker Or what type of web server is this running on. I have never worked with DataTables or web. Have a tech background though and reading the documentation it looks like it can be done. Date / time – US plugin should be able to handle it.

What happen to the to tracker v2? Worked this morning but can’t even find the search box.
Please fix.
Not sure why you don’t see it. Are you on phone or desktop? What browser are you using? Working OK for me.
I’m confused, I don’t see any list on this page at all, just your article and the comments section… where exactly is the tracker?
Not sure why you don’t see it. Are you on phone or desktop? What browser are you using? Working OK for me.
Only one update so far today?
Or is the site frozen / not refreshing? Wtf…
About 40 new entries today. Could be a caching issue. Try clearing your cache and/or visit the page using incognito/private browsing mode. Also, the time/date sorting is a bit wonky at the moment. Just search for your city in the search box and it will be easier to see the important updates for you.
Test
Very strange… it seems like this V2 page doesn’t update with reports until a comment is submitted on the page…
(SEE JIM’S COMMENT FROM 3/31. After he posted a comment, he then reported it updated for him.) I’m seeing the same thing. I also tried clearing cache and incognito mode as you advised.
-To verify this bug – just a few minutes ago, I viewed the page from a separate device that has never been to this website, and on a different network (to rule out a caching issue on my end)..
It displayed the same. Last update displayed was mid-day yesterday around the time of the last comment (screenshot shows 4098 views, 40 comments)…
-After my test comment, everything updated – website updated and both devices I was viewing from. 33 new updates for today 4/4, and approximately 30 more updates from the later part of yesterday. (Now currently showing 4229 views, 42 comments)…
That’s very strange. I didn’t do anything different for this new page. It’s a clone of the original TP Tracker. I will set the WP Rocket cache plugin to specifically not cache this page anymore… I had tried that the other day but then I got a few reports that people couldn’t see the table with the results. Let me know if you have any issues now. Thanks for the feedback and testing!!
That fixed it – Seems to be updating just fine now!
I refreshed the page a few times & saw a new report posted & the number of views counter is increasing each time I refresh.
I’m wondering if those people with reports of not seeing the table a few days ago just didn’t realize you need to scroll down a few swipes (~1/5 of the way down the page) past a couple ads & the header to get to the table with entries?
Also, for what it’s worth I believe the sort for timestamp in decending order worked without issue on V1 – possibly because it was originally set up in 24:00 hour format from the beginning.?
Short version: I fixed the sorting! Long version: On V1 & V2 I was converting the time into a new 24-hr formatted column in the Google Sheet that was being used to display the date-time in the table. However, thanks to your comment, I decided to compare the timestamp formatting applied on V2 and noticed I wasn’t using a hh:mm format like in V1. (I was using just h:mm). When I modified the format to always make it a two digit hour, adding the leading “0” for hours less than “10”, it sorts perfectly now. I think. LOL. Thanks again for all your help.
There are 2 Costco stores in Tustin. Consider labeling as Tustin District and Tustin Marketplace.
Hey some of you people, stop being so dang rude and selfish. Why don’t you try being grateful A PERSON took it upon themself to create such a page. Not everything is going to be perfect. I’m guessing this site is a one man/gal show. Thank you to whomever created this page, very thoughtful of you. I apologize for all the ungrateful/rude comments.
Also, what is so hard for everyone to understand, this site only WORKS if people out in the communities actually post what’s in stock. Do you think the page creator has the ability to know what Costco’s in each state/city has in stock in real time? Good lord! Get a grip.
Thank you for your support! I appreciate your kind words – and your spunkiness! This site definitely relies upon the help of loyal and thoughtful Costco members like you and others that contribute information to our site. Hope you and your family are safe and healthy. We can get through this!
Please remove diapers and add 70 isopropyl alcohol. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere for 2 weeks now, while diapers are everywhere now. Please replace diapers with 70 isopropyl alcohol.
No entries for 4/10 eh!?
It looks like the first column sort in decending order isn’t working correctly, same deal as it was for the time stamp…
When I sort in decending order and increase number of entries shown to 100, The most recent entries are from 4/9. I have to skip to page 5 (entries 401 to 500) to find 4/10 entries which come right after 4/2…
(Looks like same fix for date is needed – its using just x:xx for day and month format. Likely also need to modify the format to always make it a two digit day, adding the leading “0” for days less than “10”.)
🙂
Thanks again for the time & effort put into making this tracker!
Good catch! Haha, I foolishly thought I wouldn’t run into a date-related issue until October… forgetting that the day of the month could cause the same problem. OK, I’ve updated the date format to mm/dd and it now appears to be sorting correctly again. Thanks, as always, for your help and feedback!
TP no longer shows up in results?
Hi, TP is the very first column after the City. Can you still not see it? Anyone else not seeing it?
Is it possible to add a tracker for the Nintendo Switch?
LOL, it’s the first time someone has asked for that one. I guess everyone has their shelter-in-place necessities. 😉 Is it really difficult to find at Costco these days?
Maybe we should make a tracker for Kirkland Organic Greens!
Can second the request for the Switch – sold out everywhere and I heard its popping up at costcos in the bundle.
Thanks for the input… we’ll see if we get many more requests. Happy Easter!
There’s no info on mount Laurel, nj
Could you add the latest thing to be in low/no supply in stores – flour?
Can you also please track flour. Thanks
would be useful to be able to lock in specific locations for easier viewing and reporting. Too many ads when viewing on mobile browser. Crashed my google chrome several times. Im using galaxy s8 Plus.
Puyallup and Tacoma Washington
you dont have a column for hand sanitizer
Can I just say that you folks are awesome for putting the time into this. So many comments have been rude or demanding but you folks just put on a smile, roll with it, and keep trying to do better. Thanks for this tool and thanks for being so pleasant.
Thank you Terry! We certainly appreciate the support and kind words. We’re doing the best we can with very limited resources. Glad you’ve found it helpful! Please stay safe and healthy!!
With so many adds appearing it is difficult to figure out where the app or table is.
Hi there, is it possible to add masks to the list now that costco seems to be selling them? or maybe a section to type in custom items to be include?
How do I specify which store in my city in the search box since my city has 3 stores?
You can just try searching for your city name – hopefully if someone recorded an entry for your city they also gave the street or shopping center name.
A suggestion on new categories added on the next version update that would be helpful for customers is HS for Hand Sanitizer and FM for Face Masks which Costco is selling.
Also, maybe add latex or nitrile gloves. The Costcos in MN appear to have them back in stock. 01/17/20
Love, love, love this site. I’ll make sure to share as it would be helpful for people to know availability. While there were so many awesome items in the list above to track, I can see that it could get overwhelming to display so many items. Just for kicks I downloaded the CSV (as it’s more lightweight than the XLS), added filters and started to play with it. Awesome job.
PS – I added the Costco Business Center in Fife and Sequim Costco.
Thank you so much! Appreciate the positive feedback as well.
The tracker stops at 5/29/20 for Greensboro NC. Is it ever updated? Thanks.
Sounds like no one from your area has updated it lately. We rely on user-submitted information to keep it current. Perhaps on your next visit you could be the next one to update it for your store? That would be awesome.
