The Costco Digital Membership Card is a virtual copy of your membership accessed through the Costco app. It shows your name, photo, ID number, expiration date, QR code, and membership level. The digital membership card will allow you to renew your membership and view your 2% reward balance anytime.
How to Get a Digital Membership Card
To get the Costco Digital Membership Card on your phone, follow these steps:
- Download the Costco app.
- Tap the “Account” option at the bottom of your screen.
- Log in with your existing Costco.com account. (If you don’t have a Costco.com account at this time, create one and then log in.)
- Verify your membership through a code or email.
- View your digital membership card through “Account.”

Where to Use a Digital Membership Card
You can use a Costco Digital Membership Card at the warehouse for entry, check out (assisted and self), returns, the pharmacy, the hearing aids center, the optical center, the tire center, and the gas station. You don’t need an internet connection to view the card when paying.
The only exception is the food court, where you can only use your physical membership card to purchase food.
Other Perks for Payment
While you can show your membership card through your phone, you can also attach your Costco Visa credit card to the Costco app. This way you can have your membership and payment information all in the same location, making it easier to shop and check out at Costco.

My name is Pasa Lau, and my Costco membership number is 111907517025. I am writing to request immediate assistance with an unresolved issue regarding my Costco Digital Membership Card.
Since August 1, I have visited six different Costco locations in Edmonton, the Edmonton Business Centre, and Calgary in an effort to resolve this problem. Unfortunately, despite speaking with multiple staff members, the issue remains unresolved.
I have also spent over two hours on the phone with Costco.ca online support, but the problem persists. I am extremely disappointed that such a small and straightforward issue has taken nearly five months without any progress. I feel I have been sent in circles with no clear solution or follow‑up.
At this point, I kindly request that a senior representative review my account and provide a direct resolution. I would appreciate clear guidance on what needs to be done so that I can finally access my digital membership card.
