How Many Stores Is Costco Opening in 2025?
According to several sources, Costco plans to open 29 new locations in the 2025 fiscal year, which runs through August 31, 2025. This will bring the Washington-based wholesaler to a total of 903 locations worldwide.

Locations of New Costco Stores in 2025
As of right now, there are three confirmed locations in the upcoming months of 2025. Opening dates are spread out between April and July, as seen below. Two of the six locations are in the United States.
- April 2025 – Stuart, FL
- April 2025 – Adrdeer, AU
- April 2025 – Minami Alps, JP
- June 2025 – Pyeongtaek, KO
- July 2025 – Malmö, SE
- July 2025 – Midland, TX

When Does Costco Announce New Locations?
Not all new locations have been released to the public yet. This is because Costco announces new location details three months before the warehouse’s opening date, as well as working within the fiscal year, which ends in August. As of right now, we have access to locations opening between April and July, but we will learn more about the remaining year in the future.
Other Costco Openings in 2025
Before April through July openings, Costco had other new stores appear in the United States. In March, Costco added locations to Brentwood, California; Highland, California; Sharon, Massachusetts; Genesee County, Michigan; Prosper, Texas; and Weatherford, Texas.
New Costco locations are exciting for both new and old members. Being able to enjoy all the perks that Costco has to offer can get any shopper jumping for joy. As Costco continues to spread around the world, hopefully, a location will open up near you.

When is a Costco opening a warehouse near Albany, NY.
As a matter of fact, a new Costco is officially coming to the Albany area, specifically in Guilderland, right in front of Crossgates Mall on Western Avenue. It’s scheduled to complete construction by the end of 2025 or early 2026 and open by summer 2026.
Unfortunately, nothing is planned at the moment. The newest closest upcoming Costco is set for Silver Spring, near Mechanicsburg. I think that’s probably about the same distance from York is as Lancaster is.
Been serious talk about a costco in pensacola florida on 9 mile any truth and is it opening in 2025??
Jim, as of April, new site construction plans on East 9 Mile Road were filed by Costco with Escambia County. However, the proposal has not yet received final approval from the county’s Development Review Committee, which is required before construction can begin. So it’s not looking great for a 2025 opening – but if it’s approved very soon, it could possibly be open in late 2025 (but I wouldn’t count on it) or early 2026.

Hey Ron, unfortunately, we can find no confirmed Costco location coming directly to Worcester, Massachusetts in the next year or two.
The next closest development for the Worcester area is a potential Costco in Leominster. According to recent reports from May 2025, Costco has put out bids to contractors for a significant redevelopment project at The Mall at Whitney Field in Leominster.
