101 Urban Electric Bike

The scoop

Spotted a clearance find that’ll catch the eye of commuters and e-bike enthusiasts: the 101 Urban Electric Bike with a 750-watt motor and 4.5″ Kenda tires is hitting clearance status at Costco warehouses.

This is a full-power urban e-bike designed for city streets and light trails. The 750W motor puts it in the higher-powered category for electric bikes, while the Kenda tires provide reliable traction and durability. The “101 Urban” branding suggests this is positioned as an entry-to-mid-level commuter bike with enough power for hills and longer rides.

Whether this represents solid value depends heavily on the clearance price you find, but 750-watt e-bikes typically retail in the $1,200-$2,000 range from other retailers. If you’re seeing this marked down significantly, it could be a worthwhile grab for anyone looking to ditch their car for short commutes or add some pedal-assist fun to their routine. The key question is how deep the discount goes—e-bikes at full price from Costco are already competitively priced, so clearance pricing should make this particularly attractive.

E-bikes hitting clearance often means the manufacturer is updating the model year or Costco is making room for newer inventory. With spring around the corner (prime biking season), this could be old stock being cleared before fresh models arrive. Don’t expect this to stick around long—e-bikes move quickly when discounted, and Costco’s quantities are always limited on clearance items.

If you’ve been fence-sitting on joining the e-bike revolution, clearance pricing on a 750W model might be the nudge you need. Have you made the switch to e-bike commuting, or are you still weighing whether the investment makes sense for your lifestyle?
