Spotted on the shelf with a clearance tag: the Sun Mountain Pebble Beach Golf Stand Bag. If you’ve been eyeing an upgrade from your beat-up carry bag, this one might be worth a detour down the sporting goods aisle.
This is a stand bag designed for golfers who walk the course rather than ride, built with a focus on keeping the overall weight down. The bag features the Pebble Beach branding on the front panel and comes with dual carry straps for comfortable transport around the course.
At under 6 pounds, this bag is marketed as a lightweight option, which should appeal to golfers who want to minimize fatigue on longer rounds. With 14 full-length dividers, it promises to keep clubs organized and prevent the shaft-tangling mess that plagues cheaper bags. Whether the price marked down from full retail represents a steal depends on what you’d normally pay for a Sun Mountain bag elsewhere, but this brand typically commands a premium, so a clearance price is worth a look.
Golf gear often ends up marked down as retailers rotate in new seasonal colorways or models, and licensed course-branded merchandise like this Pebble Beach edition may have been a limited production run. Stock on items like this tends to move fast once bargain hunters catch wind, so if the size and style work for you, it’s probably not worth waiting around.
Bottom Line: If you’re in the market for a new golf bag and like the idea of a lightweight stand bag with plenty of organization, this Sun Mountain Pebble Beach bag looks like a solid pickup while it’s still on the shelf. Anyone else upgrading their golf gear this season?
