Spotted on the shelf with a clearance price card: the Thomasville Finlay Area Rug. If you have been eyeing a rug refresh, this one might be worth grabbing before it disappears for good.
This is a 5’2″ x 7″ area rug from Thomasville’s Finlay collection, made with 100% polyester pile. The label notes it has straight and shrink yarn construction, and the surface may show shine depending on viewing angle and light, giving it a bit of a lived-in, textured look.
At the marked-down price, this works out to roughly $1.91 per square foot for a rug of this size, which is a solid deal for a name-brand area rug with a patterned, textured design. Full-price area rugs from recognizable brands often run well above that per-square-foot cost, so this markdown looks like a good value if the pattern and colorway fit your space.
Area rugs like this often get marked down when a warehouse is clearing floor space for new seasonal styles or when a particular pattern is being phased out of the lineup. Since rug selections rotate frequently and this one is already flagged on a clearance card, inventory is likely limited to what is left on the shelf.
If the Finlay’s pattern works with your decor, this looks like a reasonable pickup for the price, though the shine effect might not be for everyone. Have you seen this rug at your local warehouse?
